My online reading list is pretty long…  I’m a subscriber to many great blogs and sites (see my wall of faves) that it was very difficult for me to come up with my “Fabulous Five” picks.  I tend to read blogs that balances creativity and parenting, I guess it’s because I can relate so much with their journey.

After much deliberation, here are the five blogs/sites that I want to share with you today.

Paint Me A Picture is a beautiful blog by Lindsay.  Lindsay’s blog is such a breath of fresh air.  The posts in her site range from her beautiful handmade finds to her creative journey as an artist.  I love reading about what piece she is working on at the moment, her current food obsession, and her mom adventures.

Lindsay recently collaborated with other handmade artist and launched Handmade with Purpose – where artist sell their handmade products and donate the profits to their favorite charities.  Check out her blog to find out more about Handmade with Purpose, see her awesome paintings which she sells in her Etsy shop and enjoy her gorgeous handmade finds.

Jessika Hepburn is the mastermind behind the awesome site, Oh My Handmade Goodness. I was actually introduced to Jessika and her amazing site by Grace Hester and I’ve been hooked ever since!  OMHG, is definitely a community where I feel right at home.  The site not only covers amazing children’s products but also covers many topics like, handmade ethics, business tips, marketing, tutorials and more!  It’s very hard not to fall in love with the community that participates in OMHG.

It’s just recently that I discovered Jessica Okui’s blog, Zakka Life and it has fast become one of my favorites.  I’m so glad that I found her site, because I always learn something new when I visit her blog.  Her site is filled with amazing crafts, tutorials, and cute finds.  If it’s a rainy day and you don’t know what to do with your busy kids, check out her site for some great crafty ideas!

I met Grace Hester on an Etsy team when I first opened up my shop.  We are both a part of a team called the Busy Moms of Etsy.  I’m not sure how Grace does it all, but she is truly an inspiration to me.  Grace runs a successful Etsy shop where she sells her gorgeous keepsake prints while managing to work a full time job and raise two beautiful daughters – Talk about multi-tasking!   Her blog is filled with tutorials, recipes, giveaways, and more!  She also runs another blog – The Productive Mom…I know, she’s pretty much a super hero.

A Quick Study Online is a site run by Zoe.  Zoe is also a super hero in my eyes!  Not sure how she manages to do all that she does (run a consulting business, sell her paper goods on etsy, write as a contributor to other sites, and raise two boys under the age of two – whew!).  I love reading Zoe’s thought-provoking posts.  My favorite articles are the ones that help with the whole balancing act of running a business and being a parent.  Also, her blog is full of great business tips and inspiration. Plus, she gives away free goodies if you subscribe to her email newsletter… what’s not to love?
