You know that we are always looking for fun apps, so I was very pleased to be given a chance to review this really fun and cute app – Cube Dog!  I’ve been wanting to get a pet for Jude, so this is just perfect – no mess and we don’t have to take it for a walk… win, win!

Jude and the cube dog

This awesome app reminds me of those cute tamagotchi toys that students used to bring to my classroom.  Here’s a little more about the app – Cube Dog (Free; iPhone and iPod touch 4 ):

Cube Dogs are adorable, 3D, interactive pets that you can customize to your hearts content! They love it when you rub their tummies, they play baseball, and they even fend of ninja attacks. Build the perfect pet, and snap photos to share with friends!

  • Create your pet: There’s more than 1.3 million combinations to choose from (choose eyes, nose, ears, etc.)!  You can make up to three cube dogs.
  • Playroom (3d): The cube dogs are interactive… Just touch the cube dog and check out the more than 40 tricks that he can do.
  • In the real world:  ”You can snap pictures of your Cube Dog dancing on your desk, sitting on your head, or anywhere at all. Be creative!  Take photos on-location, by using the camera on your device to create the background for your shots.”

Jude couldn’t stop giggling while playing with this app!  He easily figured out how to make his own dog, picked the dogs color, and named them “Doggy” and “Woof”.  The dog tricks were also a huge hit!

Here’s a little video about the app:

The Cube Dog app is super fun and totally worth checking out… Stay updated via their Facebook Page!
